Michael Hanf began teaching violin in 2001 as a freshman music major at Evangel University in Springfield, MO. In 2005, he moved to Rogers, AR to teach middle school orchestra. While in Arkansas, he performed with the Tulsa Symphony Orchestra, the Northwest Arkansas Symphony, and the Benton County Civic Orchestra. Meanwhile, he completed his masters in violin performance at the University of Arkansas in Fayetteville. After graduating in 2008, Michael moved to St. Louis, MO where he taught 4-12th grade orchestra for 5 years in the Hazelwood School District. In June 2013, Michael moved to Cape Girardeau with his wife Sarah and daughter Morgan. When he is not working at school or performing with the SEMO Symphony Orchestra, Michael enjoys working on his HO-scale model train layout in his basement.
